Life sparkles outside of the box

Let’s boldly color out of the lines.

Together.

“Yes, Mrs. Etkins, you CAN compare apples and oranges!”

These are the words I couldn’t say when I was 12, the new kid in the class, and Mrs. Etkins shamed me in front of everyone. Turns out, there is such a thing as a stupid question.

Except there isn’t.

Except that “stupid questions” are where ideas are born. Where innovation begins, then thrives. Where life takes an unexpected turn towards something brand new. A lifestyle that’s against the rules, and creates its own odds. Mrs. Etkins would surely hate it. Yay! I’m ready!

Let’s let go of the shame. Let’s ask a stupid question. Let’s give “sensible” a brand-new context. Let’s create. Let’s dive right in. We’ll break the mold. We’ll take a risk. If we fall on our faces, let’s laugh from our hearts. We’ll plunge down a slide made of gold straight up into the sky. Why not?

Come in, friend. Let’s go.

The Golden Slide

It all started with a dream. Literally.

Our Homeschool Adventure

One day, I walked into his bedroom to find his teacher’s face on the iPad screen on his desk calling out “David! David Hasbani!“ while my son was spread out, face down on the carpet like when we used to play dead-man-floating in the pool.

Right then and there I made the decision to homeschool.
