Meet the Girl on the Slide

I grew up wanting to be a lawyer and a judge (for the money). In High School, decided I wanted a career in cartooning (for the fun). Sought a degree in marketing instead (to be practical) but rebounded near the end and got a BBA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (not sure how that happened). Went on to study child development and Special Education, but gave that up (for my heart) and got a Master’s Degree in English Literature instead (for my mind), and a Certification for teaching English as a Second Language to immigrants (practicality, again). Taught college reading and writing and ESL, breaking the mold more than once (a true calling), and finally quit to have a second child (pregnancy, mf).

Today I'm a stay-at-home mom of two, and an accidental homeschooling parent in Brooklyn, NY.

I've been all over the place, and my head knows that one person can't do it all. But my heart wants to defy that.

The Golden Slide is a dream-- that it's possible to live a life by one's own design, pursuing anything and everything that feels right.

For this next phase in my life, I'm going to live that dream.

Because. Reasons.
